NIO reported September deliveries of 37,408 vehicles, representing a 55.29% increase year-on-year, meeting its third-quarter guidance. The result was driven by strong gains from the NIO brand and a record month for the entry-level Firefly sub-brand.

The NIO brand itself continued to show solid growth momentum, outpacing the overall market's pace. The brand's mixed lineup — including the ET5 sedan, ES6 SUV and the recently launched flagship ET9 — attracted enough buyer interest to carry the quarter's delivery target.

Firefly, NIO's value-oriented sub-brand targeting the competitive small-car segment, achieved a monthly delivery record in September. The achievement marks a significant step for the brand as it works to establish itself in China's cutthroat entry-level EV market, where price competition among domestic makers remains fierce.

Onvo, meanwhile, posted a second consecutive year-on-year delivery decline. The mid-market brand has struggled since launch against intensifying competition from rivals such as XPENG and Li Auto in the 200,000–300,000 RMB segment. The back-to-back drops signal that Onvo needs a sharper product or pricing strategy to reverse its trajectory.

NIO's total September figures came in line with the company's Q3 delivery guidance, which had set expectations for strong third-quarter performance. The automaker is continuing to scale its battery-swap infrastructure and expand its model lineup across multiple price points as it aims to consolidate its position in China's electric-vehicle market.
