Stelato has kicked off pre-sales for the V8 in China, marking the brand's entry into the MPV segment. The Huawei-backed EV marque is expanding its portfolio beyond sedans and SUVs with the new seven-seat vehicle.
The Stelato V8 carries a starting pre-sale price of approx. $48,930 (329,800 RMB). It represents the brand's first move into the MPV market, positioning itself in a competitive Chinese segment that includes rivals such as the Denza D9, Xpeng X9, and Li Auto Mega.
A New Segment for Stelato
Stelato — a joint branding collaboration between Huawei and Changan Automobile — has previously focused on sedan and crossover models. The V8 signals the brand's strategic push into family-oriented multi-purpose vehicles, a segment that has seen rapid growth in China driven by rising demand for premium MPVs.
The brand has not yet released further technical specifications for the V8, including battery capacity, estimated range, or motor configuration. Those details are expected to be disclosed closer to the vehicle's official launch.
