Tesla Offers Up to $1,040 in Discounts on Model 3 and Model Y in China

Tesla is rolling out a new round of sales incentives in China, offering discounts of up to approx. $1,040 (7,000 RMB) on its Model 3 and Model Y lineups.

Under the promotion, every Model 3 variant qualifies for a 5,000 yuan (approx. $694) discount. Select Model Y variants receive a higher cut of 7,000 yuan (approx. $972) off the purchase price.

Eligible orders may also qualify for additional perks beyond the base discount, though Tesla has not disclosed the full details of those benefits.

The move comes as competition in China's EV market continues to intensify. Legacy automakers and domestic brands have been pressing Tesla on price, forcing the company to periodically adjust its incentive strategy to maintain sales momentum.

The campaign targets Tesla's two best-selling models in the world's largest EV market, where the Model Y ranks among the top-selling electric vehicles and the Model 3 remains a staple in the mid-size sedan segment.
