Chinese new-energy vehicle makers Leapmotor and Zeekr set fresh monthly delivery records in September 2026, while Xiaomi hit an annual peak with over 40,000 units delivered.

Leapmotor continued its momentum from previous months, with September deliveries marking a company high. The Hangzhou-based maker, backed by Geely and STMicroelectronics, has been expanding rapidly with its C10, C16 and C19 SUV line-up as well as the B10 sedan, all targeting the value segment in China and several export markets.

Zeekr, the premium EV brand under Geely, also posted a record month. Deliveries were lifted by the Zeekr 007 sedan, the Zeekr X compact SUV and the Zeekr 001, all of which have seen growing demand both domestically and in Europe.

Xiaomi, which entered the NEV space with its SU7 sedan earlier in the year, delivered just over 40,000 units in September — the highest monthly figure since production ramped up. The Shenzhen-based tech giant has been scaling output at its Beijing factory to meet surging order books for the SU7 and its upcoming variants.

The trio's results underscore the intensifying pace of competition in China's EV market, where monthly delivery benchmarks continue to rise as manufacturers race to scale production and broaden their model line-ups.
