BYD has released the first official interior images of the third-generation Tang, revealing two distinct cabin themes tailored to different buyer preferences. Lu Tian, general manager of BYD's Dynasty Network Sales Division, shared the photos on Weibo.
The first scheme pairs a "Dune Beige" light cabin with a minimalist oval single-tone steering wheel, emphasizing a clean tech-forward aesthetic. The second uses an "Amber Brown" dark theme with a more upscale three-spoke two-tone round steering wheel aimed at buyers seeking a premium feel.
Industry-First Star Dual-Screen Layout
Both interiors share a focal point: a 30-inch full-width panoramic display spanning the dashboard with no visible seam between driver and passenger sides. The Dune Beige variant adds a 35.4-inch far-end ring display above the main screen, showing speed, navigation, time and weather — a configuration BYD calls the "Interstellar Dual-Screen" layout that made its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show.
The Amber Brown version opts for a traditional independent instrument cluster behind the steering wheel instead, prioritizing a more conventional reading experience.
A key detail is the likely inclusion of a Devalet-branded car audio system, the same technology featured in BYD's Denza brand, pairing the large screens with high-end sound quality.
Large Five-Seat Configuration
Despite being classified as an 8-segment flagship SUV, the third-generation Tang sticks to a five-seat layout rather than six or seven seats. The second-row offers over 1,000mm of legroom — comparable to a D-segment sedan — with a recline angle up to 130 degrees, steeper than most business-class airline seats. The front seats can also fold completely flat to merge with the rear bench, creating a sleep surface without requiring the rear seats to be removed.
Specs and Pricing
Earlier leak information cited an 850km pure-electric range, dual-motor all-wheel drive, ultra-fast charging capability, a dual-chamber air suspension system, and BYD's TianShen Eye B driver-assistance suite. The vehicle's exterior features an integrated headlight assembly described as the most compact of its class.
BYD has hinted the Tang will launch in China's 220,000–260,000 RMB (approx. $30,600–$36,100) price band, with a market launch expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
