Geely has revealed preliminary details about the Monjaro EM-i, positioning it as the brand's first global hybrid D-segment SUV aimed at overseas markets.

The vehicle is built on Geely's GEA Evo architecture — an evolution of the company's global compact electric architecture — and will be equipped with an e-AWD (electric all-wheel-drive) system. According to Geely, this makes the Monjaro EM-i the first model in its lineup for international markets to feature this four-wheel-drive setup.

The company confirmed the Monjaro EM-i will make its public debut in Egypt in late August. The Middle Eastern market introduction signals Geely's intent to roll out the model across key export regions beyond China.

The EM-i branding denotes Geely's latest generation of efficient hybrid powertrains, which the company describes as focusing on low fuel consumption and strong EV-range capability for plug-in hybrid configurations.

No pricing or detailed specifications have been released yet. Geely is expected to share more information closer to the Egypt debut event.
