History
Geely was founded in 1986 by Li Shufu as a refrigerator-parts maker and entered autos in 1997. Its landmark purchase of Volvo Cars in 2010 put it on the global stage. The group now runs the premium Zeekr EV brand and the Galaxy sub-brand, and partners with Mercedes-Benz on smart.
