Geely Galaxy Zhanjian 700 Entering Dealerships Ahead of Q4 Launch

Geely Galaxy announced on August 12 that its "AI all-terrain hardcore SUV" Zhanjian 700 will go on sale in the fourth quarter, with display vehicles rolling into showrooms across China starting mid-August. The brand confirmed the SUV will be available at 150 dealerships spanning 119 cities nationwide.

Boxy Design and Off-Road Hardware

The Zhanjian 700 adopts a rugged, boxy silhouette with sharp body lines and flared wheel arches for a distinct off-road aesthetic. Up front, a long rectangular grille frame wraps around a full-width LED daytime running light strip, with an illuminated Geely Galaxy badge at center. The side profile features conventional door handles and a matte-black roof rack, while the rear is kept clean with vertical rounded-rectangle taillights and a spare tire mounted externally.

Inside, the cabin leans toward physical controls, with a rotary dial used to switch between smart, economy, comfort, and sport driving modes. A panoramic sunroof and headrest-mounted speakers for the front seats are also included.

Powertrain and Battery Specs

Under the hood, the Zhanjian 700 offers a plug-in hybrid system paired with either a 2.0T engine (160 kW) or a 1.5T engine (120 kW), both feeding a tri-motor all-wheel-drive setup that delivers a combined output of 830 kW. A differential lock is standard across the range.

All versions come equipped with a 47.14 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack from CATL, delivering a CLTC pure-electric range of 305 km. The chassis uses a dual-chamber air suspension paired with CDC continuously adjustable dampers.

AI-Driven Off-Road Capabilities

Geely says the vehicle is fitted with its self-developed GVMC dynamic control system, which the company claims enables an 80 km/h moose test. The AI intelligent four-wheel-drive system automatically switches between front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive modes, and adds specialized off-road functions including crab walk, tank turn, blowout driving, and automatic continuous obstacle avoidance.

Wading depth is rated at 800 mm, and the SUV also features satellite communication capability. Exterior dimensions measure 5085 mm in length, 1999 mm in width, and 1895–1925 mm in height depending on equipment level, with a 2900 mm wheelbase.
