NIO's third-generation ES8 has crossed 140,000 cumulative deliveries, with the latest 10,000 units delivered in just 30 days. Monthly output topped 10,000 again after the five-seat variant was added to the lineup.

NIO has announced that cumulative deliveries of its third-generation ES8 flagship SUV have reached 140,000 units, with the most recent 10,000 rolling off the line in a single month — a span of just 30 days.
The milestone follows the introduction of a five-seat configuration for the ES8, which expanded the vehicle's appeal beyond families seeking three-row seating. Monthly deliveries of the model have now returned above the 10,000-unit threshold, a level the three-seat variant had struggled to sustain consistently since launch.
The ES8 is one of NIO's core models alongside the ET7 sedan and ET5, forming part of the company's push into the premium electric SUV segment in China. The third-generation architecture introduced significant upgrades in battery capacity, range, and charging speed compared to its predecessor.
Adding the five-seat version is a strategic move by NIO to broaden the ES8's addressable market. Three-row SUVs in China face niche demand, while five-seat variants can tap into a much larger buyer pool that prioritizes interior space efficiency and cost over maximum passenger capacity.
