History
Shangjie was announced in April 2025 as the fifth brand under Huawei's HIMA ecosystem, with an initial investment of RMB 6 billion ($820 million) and a dedicated team of over 5,000 people. The brand is a joint venture between Huawei and SAIC Motor, targeting the mainstream market segment. Shangjie's first model, the H5 midsize SUV, launched in September 2025, offering both pure electric and extended-range powertrains.
