History
Lucid was founded in 2007 as Atieva, a battery and powertrain supplier, and pivoted to building its own luxury EVs. The Lucid Air launched in 2021 with class-leading efficiency and the Gravity SUV followed. The company is majority-owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
