Hongqi (Red Flag) is the luxury brand of FAW Group, historically reserved for Chinese state leaders.
History
Hongqi was created in 1958 and served as the official state car of China, carrying leaders at major ceremonies. FAW relaunched Hongqi as a commercial luxury brand in 2018 with a modern lineup of sedans, SUVs, and EVs. The brand is expanding abroad, including into Europe.
