History
BMW began in 1916 as an aircraft engine maker before moving to motorcycles and, in 1928, automobiles. The company is known for rear-wheel-drive dynamics and, more recently, the i sub-brand of electric vehicles. Under its Neue Klasse program, BMW is re-platforming its lineup for the electric era.
