History
Audi was founded in 1909 by August Horch and merged with three other Saxon manufacturers in 1932 to form Auto Union, whose four-ring logo Audi still carries. The brand pioneered quattro all-wheel drive in 1980 and became a benchmark for premium engineering. Audi is transitioning its lineup toward electric models under the e-tron nameplate.
