Chery has confirmed that its Exlantix export marque will launch in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand in 2027, debuting with the all-new ES GT shooting brake and a heavily updated ET SUV, both available as pure electric and range-extender vehicles.

The announcement came from CEO Lillian Xiong during a presentation of Exeed's new design language at Chery's R&D and Design Centre in Shanghai. Right-hand-drive versions of both debut models were on display at the event.

Exterior Updates

The ES GT, shown in a production-close form, carries minor front-end revisions over the ES saloon — wider styling and deeper headlight units. The rear features shorter full-width daytime running lights and a more upright, practical rear window. The ES's narrow-track appearance has been resolved with a stance now matching the body width.

The ET SUV receives more cohesive front-end styling with a rectangular approach that reduces visual bulk. Most other exterior details remain unchanged, though further updates are expected before the model reaches roads.

Interior Overhaul

Inside, both models adopt a similar layout: a 40-inch-plus panoramic screen across the dashboard rear, paired with a 15.6-inch 2.5k display. The ES GT adds soft-touch artificial leather, luminous contrast stitching, carbon-fibre-style panels, and microfibre seats and roof lining.

The ET swaps the ES GT's youthful aesthetic for open-pore wood inlays and a closed centre tunnel, replacing the original's criticised open design. It also features a Harmon Kardon sound system, a larger steering wheel, and heated, ventilated, and massaging rear seats with capacitive door controls. A rear console fridge is rumored but may not carry over overseas.

Rear-seat space in both models is said to be a notable improvement, with good headroom beneath the panoramic roof and strong thigh support.

Future Design Direction

Guests at the Shanghai event were also given an exclusive first look at Exeed's future design language, which will push the brand further upmarket with crisp lines heavily influenced by Rolls-Royce styling cues.
